Day 23: 10th May, 2019
The kids have organised a drive they want to do for Zach each year and today was the first of many. We had a convoy of cars and we all drove to Bala Lake and on to Bewsy Coyd in Wales. Bala lake is one of Zach’s favourite places as we used to go camping there with him all the time. I felt really close to him today, maybe it was because so many of his friends were there but I know it felt good and I know he was with us. I took a picture of Zach we have in his room and placed it on my lap as we drove. It is wonderful because he was starring right at me. As we took off I turned on the radio and the first song that came on was “I can’t take my eyes off of you.” When we got to Bala we stopped in the café he loves and above our heads on a shelf was a big chicken. Of course there was! It turned out to be a cloudy day but still beautiful. The kids had their radio on in one of the cars, playing music and every time one of Zach’s songs came on from the playlist, I kid you not, the sun came out big and bright! His friends commented on it as well. It was mad, it was as if Zach parted the skies while his song played and everyone there saw it! As we were all stood around talking about Zach and listening to his favourite songs, two typhoon euro fighter planes flew directly over our heads. It was a really amazing day and we all knew Zach was there. The hard part is opening up to it and just really believing but I am certainly getting better at seeing the signs and I can tell you, there are so many!
