Health and Wellbeing
Liz McGregor
Hi! I’m Liz McGregor, Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath, Lactation Consultant and Wellbeing Coach.
I have two key areas of focus – helping people recover their health from chronic illnesses (working with adults) and preventing ill health in the first place (working with mothers and babies).
I work mainly with people who are worried about going downhill, want to avoid taking drugs for life and want to shift the stubborn weight.
Some of them have serious health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions or auto-immune issues that are getting in the way, worrying their loved ones and impacting activities that they enjoy or need to continue, such as earning a living.
They don’t want to go on yet another diet, don’t want to feel hungry, still want to enjoy their food, but feel stuck.
This is where I provide a solution that tackles the lot.
I give people the understanding on the most effective ways to take back control of their health. They learn, sometimes for the first time in their lives, to take care of their body and mind. I use wellbeing coaching to help them connect with their own deep motivation that pulls them willingly towards their goals with enthusiasm, re-discovering and chasing their joy!
I cheer them on, and also provide accountability to support them to turn unhelpful habits into helpful ones, and tackle the changes they want to make in their lives.
With knowledge comes power - they can often help their friends and family with what they have learned during the journey.
Not only do I help clients address their existing conditions, I also work to prevent any other pain and illness from occurring.
My objective is to help people recover their health; improve their quality of life and live their best life possible.
Experience and Professionalism
I’m a Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath, Lactation Consultant and qualified Wellbeing Coach, with Diplomas in Naturopathy, Nutritional Therapy, Business Analysis; a BSc in Psychology (Hons); am a member of the General Naturopathic Council and Lactation Consultants of Great Britain.
I began researching my own issues of chronic ill health, eczema, and multiple allergies when I was twenty. It took me fifteen years to find what combination of interventions worked – then I finally managed to heal myself permanently in fifteen days.
Along the way I learned so much about natural remedies for nearly every other health condition that eventually I decided to turn my passion into my profession, and trained as a Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath and Wellbeing Coach.
I had already qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to help mothers and babies avoid the health issues I went through as a baby, so I also know a great deal about disrupted immune systems, infant feeding, milk, and disease.
I am a member of two All-Party Parliamentary Groups, on the Human Gut Microbiome and Infant Feeding and Inequality and spent several years reviewing research and providing input to the National Institute For Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines.
Karen - Well Being Wave
As we are all on a journey of discovery this may be something you would like to try. We believe there are many ways we can connect with our loved ones and many of them are focused on us rather than them. When we focus on our own spiritual wellbeing we become more balanced and open to communciation from Spirit, it also makes us feel better which can’t be a bad thing. Karen @ Wellbeingwave provides a service that in one hour we promise will make you feel better. She performs Gong Meditation amongst other wellbeing services and as we are energy beings the sound energy that comes from the gongs has an amazing effect on you. If you are in the Northwest of England we can’t recommend Karen enough (we call her our little angel). If you are too far from Karen to make one of her classes look local and we challenge you to not enjoy the experience of gong meditation and want to come back for more.
Thank You.
We are always looking for new resources and experiences that help us on our journey through life and our ongoing connection to our loved ones. If you have any recommendations we would love to hear about them and try them ourselves.
We are very careful to only recommend resources which we have tried ourselves and which we believe are the very best in what they offer. Zach’s House CIC receives no financial benefit from any of these recommendations.
